Current Projects BAFB is working on and needs your volunteer expertise:

  1. VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT-Program Development

What We Need

  • A written summary of goals, target audiences and channels to prioritize
  • A starter plan of recommendations & actionable next steps to begin executing our strategy.

Additional Details

  • We have a varied range of volunteer needs including assistance at community events, furniture refinishing and assembly assistance, and light clerical tasks in the office.
  • We currently have a small list of current volunteer needs, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a short list of current volunteers, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
  • Volunteers are needed to provide extra hands-on support in many capacities.
  • Volunteer Manager and Management meet to discuss current volunteer program, development goals and growth goals

The volunteer for this project will have the following skills & experience

  • Background in volunteer program development and management, business development, membership acquisition, or community-building
  • Ability to create a strategic and actionable plan for volunteer acquisition and retention
2.    PRINT MATERIALS DESIGN

What We Need

  • Designs for marketing and communications materials (examples: one-pager/fact sheets, case studies, fundraising collateral, event invitations, annual reports, and pamphlets)
  • Templates with accurate, print-ready specifications
    • Note:This project does not include printing

Additional Details

  • We need a postcard design and a flyer design for our annual Fundraising Appeal. We welcome creativity!
  • Works with afinalized copy, high-resolution logo to be utilized
  • Provide images for desired deliverables (if applicable), examples of existing marketing materials and links to online presence (website and social media)

The right volunteer for this project will have the following skills & experience

Graphic Design

  • Excellent graphic design skills
  • Proficiency with design software such as Adobe’s creative suite
  • Working knowledge of standard printing specification
  1. INDIVIDUAL DONOR REQUEST LETTER

PROJECT

What We Need

  • A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors

Additional Details

  • We are looking to create an effective letter to recruit individual donors for our fundraising goals
  • We need help writing the persuasive copy and organizing our information in a clear and concise way

The right volunteer for this project will have the following skills & experiences:

Fundraising Writing

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to synthesize information and effectively communicate the main points in a compelling way
  1. PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL PRESENTATION
What We Need
  • An effective presentation to persuade a corporation or other organization to help advance our mission or sponsor an upcoming event with a well-structured presentation that highlights the mutual value of the proposed partnership.
  • We want a compelling, well-designed set of slides to share with prospective partners on the value a partnership would deliver

Project Outcomes

  • A new partnership proposal presentation, or an update of an existing proposal in PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides or another presentation software
  • Best practices and tactics for structuring an effective partnership proposal

The right volunteer for this project will have the following skills & experience

Business Development Communications

  • Experience crafting professional presentation materials
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  1. BROCHURE CREATION PROJECT

What We Need

  • Ready-to-publish copy for a brochure
  • Collateral, to be used in conjunction with Brochure Graphic Design, for new marketing materials
  • Although we have existing text, we need help to ensure that the text communicates who we are, what we do, how readers can help, etc. in a more clear, concise, and convincing manner.

 

The right volunteer will have the following skills & experience

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • (Preferred) Experience in copywriting, marketing, public relations, communications
